St. Joseph Football Routs Harding 40-12 For First Win
Freshman Mufasa Abdul-Bazir scores three times for Cadets, who improve to 1-4

The St. Joseph football team recorded its first win of the season Saturday, routing Harding 40-12 at Kennedy Stadium behind freshman Mufasa Abdul-Bazir, who scored three touchdowns.
Abdul-Bazir rushed for 160 yards and scored on TD runs of runs of 3, 15 and 14 as the Cadets improved to 1-4. Harding, which defeated Fairfield Ludlowe 6-0 last week, dropped to 1-4.
After Abdul-Bazir staked St. Joseph to a 13-0 lead after the first quarter, Mike Pulaski scored on a 6-yard run.

Following an 18-yard TD run to TaQuan Broadway got Harding on the board, Pat Boyle tossed a 16-yard TD pass to Jake Pelletier to give St. Joseph a 27-6 lead at the half.
In the third quarter, St. Joseph extended its lead to 40-6 on Boyle's 1-yard TD run and Abdul-Bazir's final score. Broadway capped the scoring with a 9-yard TD run in the fourth quarter.
