State Rep Talks Government with Daniels Farm Students

A class wrote to him urging him to support a ban on exotic pets in the state.

TRUMBULL, CT- State Rep. David Rutigliano (R-Trumbull) visited 4th-graders at Daniels Farm School to talk about banning exotic pets in the state.

A few months ago students sent him letters urging him to support legislation that would ban exotic pets in the state. Rutigliano thanked Ms. Littlefield's class for writing to him and said he was glad they were engaged.

“I would have to agree with these smart 4th graders, these animals are better served by being left alone in the wild," he said. "Personally, Connecticut has seen first-hand the tragic things that can happen when people keep exotic animals as pets."
