State Rep. Tony Scott Sworn In For Second Term At State Capitol

State Rep. Tony Scott was sworn in for his second term serving residents of Monroe, Easton and Trumbull at the State Capitol this week.

TRUMBULL, CT — State Rep. Tony Scott (R-112) was sworn in for his second term Wednesday at the State Capitol in Hartford alongside his family.

According to a news release, Scott joined his 151 colleagues in the House of Representatives and said he will continue to serve the interests of Monroe, Easton and Trumbull residents.

"I stand ready to represent the hardworking residents of Monroe, Easton and Trumbull during this new legislative session," Scott said in a news release. "The cost of government shouldn't be a burden on those it serves, and I look forward to protecting the interests of all Connecticut residents and businesses during this ongoing debate in Hartford."

House Minority Leader Vincent Candelora recently appointed Scott as the ranking member of the Housing Committee. In this role, he will lead housing-related policy initiatives on behalf of House Republicans.

Scott will also serve as a member of the General Law Committee, as well as the Higher Education and Employment committees.
