Suspected Teen Marijuana Dealer Arrested: Trumbull PD

The teen was caught during a traffic stop, according to police.

TRUMBULL, CT — A 17-year-old was arrested after a traffic stop turned up marijuana, scales and packaging, according to police.

A patrol officer spotted a vehicle on Main Street with an improperly displayed registration plate on Nov. 17 around 2 a.m., said Lt. Doug Smith, police spokesman.

The officer was enveloped in a cloud of marijuana smoke as the driver rolled down his window, Smith said. The vehicle was searched and the items were found.

The 17-year-old driver admitted that he sold marijuana to his friends and had a significant amount of cash on him, which was seized. He was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia and a violation for the registration plate.

He was released to his parents and ordered to appear in Court Nov. 27.
