Trumbull Board of Finance Considers 22 Percent Raise for First Selectman

The proposed ordinance would affect other positions in town as well.

The Trumbull Board of Finance is considering raising the salary of the first selectman by about 22 percent.

The proposed ordinance was drafted by town attorneys and would also affect a number of other town administrator salaries, according to the Connecticut Post. The first selectman makes about $104,000 per year now and the raise would increase it to more than $126,000.

First Selectman Tim Herbst didn’t weigh in on the issue and said he would leave it up to the board.
