Trumbull Board of Finance Approves Budget

TRUMBULL, CT- The Board of Finance made some changes to First Selectman Tim Herbst's proposed budget.

The budget still has a slight tax decrease and some accounts under the education budget were moved around due to the pending matter of possibly changing Trumbull teacher and staff health benefits, according to the Connecticut Post.

Salaries for two vacant lieutenant positions for the Police Department were eliminated, but funding for a school resource officer was kept.

Chief Michael Lombardo said that the department only has two lieutenants and it could increase liability in the future due to not having enough supervision in the field.
