Trumbull/Bridgeport End Sewer Use Battle

Trumbull will still enjoy a discount, but it won't be as much as in previous years.

Editor's note: We previously ran this story, but here it is again in case you missed it.

TRUMBULL, CT- The Bridgeport City Council voted to accept a settlement that allows Trumbull to use the city sewer system and a sewage treatment plant.
Trumbull has had a 13.5 percent discount that will now be reduced to eight percent, according to the Connecticut Post. That discount will drop one percent annually over the 10-year deal and the last two years of the contract will have no discount.

Trumbull will also be free to explore other options to get rid of its waste.
