Trumbull Eliminated From Babe Ruth World Series After Getting No-Hit By Tri-Township (Pa.)

Trumbull falls 10-0 in five innings and finishes 3-3 in the tournament after a memorable summer run

Jacob Connor tossed a five-inning no-hitter as Tri-Township (Pa.) blanked Trumbull 10-0 Friday in the semifinals of the 13-15 Babe Ruth World Series in Jamestown, N.Y.

Connor walked two and struck out four for Tri-Township, which will face Tri-Valley, Calif., in Saturday's championship game. Tri-Valley advanced with a 6-0 victory over Sarasota, Fla., in Friday's first semifinal.

Trumbull finished 3-3 in the tournament after placing third in the National Division. It reached the semifinals with a 15-6 victory over Centralia, Wash., on Thursday.

Friday's loss capped a memorable summer run for Trumbull, which entered the World Series with a 11-0 postseason record. Overall, Trumbull finished the season with a 32-12 mark.
