Trumbull Finance Committee Passes Budget, Will Head for Final Vote
The Town Council Finance Committee passed a slightly-modified budget, which will head to the full town council for a vote.

The Town Council Finance Committee approved a budget that will now be forwarded to the whole Town Council for a final vote.
The Finance Board previously added $119,000 to First Selectman Tim Herbst’s budget, according to the Connecticut Post.
A Planning and Zoning Department planner position was added at the cost of about $23,000, but that was offset by a reduction of unneeded overtime in emergency management.

Council Member Vicki Tesoro suggested the removal of a proposed $46,000 executive assistant in Human Resources position, but it was approved in the end.
The budget would also create a director of parks and recreation position that would oversee the departments which would be combined. Some have questioned the necessity of the position.
