Trumbull Mall Parking Deck Still Under Evaluation: Report

TRUMBULL, CT — Officials are continuing to evaluate the parking deck at the Westfield Trumbull mall, just over two weeks after a chunk of concrete fell through the garage and exposed a hole, reported the Connecticut Post.

The hole is located near the Target and JC Penney stores, and no injuries were reported when the concrete fell. The deck has been closed since the incident.

A structural evaluation is underway, and bore samples reportedly will be taken from the deck on Friday.

Testing of those samples will be completed before the end of the month, and repairs are expected after that.
