Trumbull Man, 24, Struck and Killed by Accused Drunk Driver in Milford: PD
The accident occurred early Sunday and Milford police say the pedestrian was trying to cross the street when he was struck by the car.

MILFORD, CT - A 24-year-old Trumbull man has been identified as the person who died while being hit by an alleged drunk driver in Milford around 2 a.m. Sunday, police said Monday.
Police said their preliminary investigation revealed that a pedestrian, Vincent Pezzella, 24, of 226 Church Hill Road in Trumbull, was walking eastbound on the sidewalk along Bridgeport Avenue near Berwyn Street.
Pezzella was struck by a motor vehicle as he attempted to cross traffic on Bridgeport Avenue, police said in a news release. Pezzella was transported to Bridgeport Hospital where he was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.

The driver of the vehicle, Hector Frias-Angomas, 46, of 173 Lamberton Street, New Haven, was taken into custody and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, police said.
