Trumbull Man Found Guilty in Fatal DUI Crash

The man tried to claim a mysterious panhandler was driving his car at the time of the crash.

A Trumbull man was found guilty of killing a Stratford woman while driving drunk.

The Feburary 2015 crash in Bridgeport claimed the life of Nancy DiStefano Keller, according to the Connecticut Post. She had to be cut out of her vehicle and was pronounced dead a short time after at St. Vincent's Hospital.

Peter Burdick's blood-alcohol level was .145, police said. He claimed that he realized he was intoxicated and gave his keys to a panhandler to drive, who drove fast and hit the woman. He dropped that claim at trial and tried to blame the crash on Keller.
