Trumbull Police To Participate In Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run

TRUMBULL, CT — Trumbull residents are invited to support and cheer on local police and law enforcement officers from around the state as they participate in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Connecticut this weekend.

According to a news release provided by police, the LETR is a three-day event during which officers carry a torch throughout the state of Connecticut.

Officers will carry the torch through Trumbull on Friday, May 31. The torch will then make its way to Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, where the ceremonies and games will be held, police said.

According to police, the mission of the LETR is to raise awareness and funds for the Special Olympics movement.
