Trumbull Rebounds To Rout Host Jamestown (N.Y.) in Babe Ruth World Series

Jeff Sam had two hits, including a double, and drove in four runs to lead Trumbull to a 15-6 victory over host Jamestown (N.Y.) Monday night in the 13-15 Babe Ruth World Series.
Collin Keyes (triple) added two hits and two RBI for Trumbull while Willy Velez, William Stickle and Stan Wolpiuk all had doubles for the winners.
Nick Weinstein earned the victory, working into the sixth inning before getting scoreless relief from Tim Keckler, Wolpiuk and Matt Baccaro.

Trumbull rebounded from Saturday's 8-1 loss to Tri-Township (Pa.) to improve to 1-1 in pool play.

After Jamestown made it 4-2 in the third, Trumbull tacked on six runs in the fourth to open a commanding 10-2 lead.
Trumbull is in third place in the National Division behind Tri-Township (3-0) and Sarasota, Fla. (2-0) with two games left in pool play. The top three teams in each of the two divisions advance to the quarterfinals.
Trumbull is back in action on Tuesday against Sarasota (2:35 p.m.), then concludes pool play on Wednesday against winless Centralia, Wash., which is 0-2.
Jamestown, which dropped to 0-3 with Monday's defeat, faces Centralia in Tuesday's other National Division contest.
