Trumbull Routs Westhill 47-13 In Opener
Eagles were playing their first game after last week's game at Catholic Memorial (Mass.) was cancelled due to a power failure in the second quarter.

The Trumbull football team finally got to open its season Saturday and did so in impressive fashion, routing Westhill 47-13 in Stamford.
The Eagles started the scoring on quarterback Brendan Moore's 19-yard TD run early in the first quarter. Don Cherry then added a 4-yard TD run to make it 13-0.
Trumbull scored again on Adam Bissell's 10-yard TD reception, taking a 19-0 lead still in the first stanza. Cherry then tacked on a 9-yard TD, giving Trumbull a 26-0 bulge after the first period.

The Eagles continued to pour it on, extending their lead to 33-0 on Nick Roberts' 29-yard TD strike to Pat Lomnitzer.
