Shelton's Jason Foster tossed 7 2/3 innings as Fedell's Mechanics defeated American Steakhouse 3-2 Sunday in the finals of the NABF Northeast Regionals at Quigley Stadium.
With the win, Fedell's, which plays out of the Senior City League in Bridgeport, qualified for the NABF World Series beginning Thursday in Louisville.

Foster allowed two runs and scattered 10 hits with four walks and eight strikeouts. He won Fedell's first and last games in the tournament and was the Most Valuable Pitcher.
Foster, 22 pitched in the spring at Central Connecticut State University.

Ryan Cimino, 31, who played collegiately at Southern Connecticut, had a two-run double in the third when Fedell's scored all its runs.
Fedell’s, which was making its seventh appearance in the regionals, advanced to the World Series for the first time.
After winning the New England Regionals last week, the Trumbull 15-year-old Babe Ruth team is now preparing for the World Series in Jamestown, N.Y., from Aug. 20-27.
Trumbull, which is undefeated in the postseason, secured its berth with a 3-1 win Wednesday over Braintree, Mass., in Farmington, Maine.
Trumbull plays the first game in the World Series on Aug. 20 at 12:05 p.m. against the Mid-Atlantic champion at Russell E. Diethrick, Jr. Stadium, the home of the Class A Jamestown Jammers of the NY-Penn league.
Ten teams, including the hosts, from around the country will compete in the tournament. They will be divided into two pools of five.
Trumbull will be in the National division along with the host team and the Middle Atlantic, Southeast and Pacific Northwest champions.
The American division will include the champions from the Ohio Valley, Southwest, Midwest Plains and Pacific Southwest along with the Western New York state champion.
After an off day on Aug. 21, Trumbull continues pool play on Aug. 22 against the hosts at 7:35 p.m.. Games follow against the Southeast on Aug . 23 (2:35 p.m.) and the Pacific Northwest (12:05 p.m.) on Aug. 24.
The winner of each group receives a bye into the semifinals on Aug. 26 while the second- and third-place teams in each division cross over in the quarterfinals on Aug. 25. The final is set for Aug. 27 at 1 p.m.
Teams are set to arrive in Jamestown on Aug. 18, followed by a tournament banguet on Aug. 19.
