The Trumbull and girls basketball teams each look to improve to 3-0 on Wednesday as the Eagles host Fairfield Warde and St. Joseph visits New Canaan in 7 p.m. starts.
Trumbull, the defending FCIAC champion, defeated Trinity Catholic 55-34 on Friday in an early showdown for its 25th consecutive conference victory.
St. Joseph, meanwhile, improved to 2-0 under new coach Chris Lindwall with a 59-35 victory over Fairfield Warde on Friday.

Vito Montelli, the winningest high school coach in New England history with 853 victories, begins his 50th season at St. Joseph on Wednesday when the Cadets host New Canaan (7 p.m.).

The Cadets, who finished 21-2 last season and won the CIAC Class LL state tournament, and Trinity Catholic figure to be the two favorites in the FCIAC.
St. Joseph boasts one of the top inside-outside threats in the state in Timajh Parker, who is headed to Towson, and guard James Jennings.
In addition, 6-foot-4 Diaomonte Zarba transfered in from Berkshire Academy in Massachusetts.
