The boys hockey team suffered its first loss of the season Friday with a 5-4 defeat to North Branford.
The Eagles, who slipped to 3-1 after a third-period rally fell short, trailed 4-2 after the second period.
Tim Riley gave North Branford a 1-0 lead in the first period before Brendan Strobel scored early in the second for the Eagles to break a 1-1 tie.

But North Branford (2-1) scored the next four goals to build a 5-2 cushion just under four minutes into the final period.
Brendan Bogan scored for Trumbull with 3:03 remaining to pull the Eagles within 5-2 and A.J. Dimasi tallied with 51 seconds remaining to make it a one-goal contest.

Christopher Sarosky finished with 21 saves for Trumbull, which faces Lyman Hall on Monday at the Shelton Ice Rinks.
