Cadets Come Out on Top
Coaching legends from St. Joe's and Archbishop Molloy faced off during Day 1 of St. Joseph's Northeast Christmas Classic.

Jack Curran replaced a feature college legend by the name of Lou Carnesecca at Archbishop Molloy in 1958. Vito Montelli started the program in 1962 and is still the only head boys basketball coach the Cadets have ever had.
Despite more than 100 years of experience between them, the two coaching giants had never faced each other until Tuesday night in St. Joseph's Northeast Christmas Classic at Bridgeport's Webster Bank Arena.
Montelli and the Cadets won the highly antipated battle 74-63 before a crowd of 2,400.
