3 SJ Cadets named to all-FCIAC Girls Soccer First Team

Three members of regular season champion St. Joseph were named to the all-FCIAC girls soccer first team -- Samantha Grasso, Alysa Christo and Sabrina Toole.
Three more Cadets -- Katherine Danaher, Sylvia Yanez and Jessica Jowdy -- landed on the second team.

The three first-team picks tied Westhill and tied FCIAC runner-up for the most in the league.
St. Joseph was upset by Greenwich in the semifinals of the FCIAC playoffs, then reached the semifinals of the Class M state tournament.

St. Joseph finished the season with an 18-3-1 record.
Three members of the Trumbull were recognized as Melissa Rubin earned first-team honors and Fransesca Michel and Gabrielle Reggiano were named to the second team.
After falling to St. Joseph as the No. 8 seed in the FCIAC quarterfinals, the Eagles made a Cinderella run to the Class LL state finals, losing to top seed Glastonbury.
Trumbull finished the season with a 11-4-6 record.
