SJH's Alysa Christo named to All-American Team

St. Joseph standout Alysa Christo was named to the all-American team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, one of four players in the state to earn the honor.
The other state players to receive the honor are Greenwich's Shannon Colligan, who helped lead the Cardinals to a second straight FCIAC championship, Northwest Catholic's Jessica Fontaine and Paula Rose Hagopian Kingswood Oxford School.

Christo helped guide the Cadets (17-3-1) to the FCIAC regular-season championship and a berth in the Class M semifinals.
The 81 athletes chosen nationally will be recognized at the annual All-America Luncheon, to be held in the Kansas City Convention Center's Grand Ballroom on Saturday, Jan. 14, in conjunction with the 2012 NSCAA Convention in Kansas City, Mo.
