With the season having just passed the midpoint, the Hatters (10-0, 8-0), Cadets (10-1, 8-1) and Eagles (9-1, 7-1) appear to be in a three-way battle for the top seed in next month's FCIAC playoffs. Danbury is coming off a 56-46 victory over Trinity Catholic.

Trumbull, which suffered its first FCIAC loss since 2010, looks to regroup at McMahon on Tuesday (5:45 p.m.).

The Senators (3-8) could be the perfect remedy for the Eagles to get back on track as they have lost seven of their last eight games, including a 74-37 loss to Fairfield Warde on Thursday.

On the boys side, undefeated St. Joseph (9-0) visits Danbury (7-1) in a showdown of its own and Trumbull (4-4) hosts McMahon (1-8) in 7 p.m. starts.

Danbury suffered its first loss of the season on Friday, falling 65-55 to Trinity Catholic. That result left St. Joseph and Ridgefield as the FCIAC's only unbeaten boys teams.

The Cadets are coming off a 61-46 victory over Trumbull on Friday while the Tigers (8-0, 6-0) routed routed Bassick, 73-47.
