St. Joe's Basketball Stays on Top of Poll

The FCIAC cheerleading and partner stunt championships will take place at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at Fairfield Ludlowe High School.
There will be 17 schools from the conference competing. The ticket prices are $5 for students and $7 for adults.
The event includes routines performed by full cheerleading teams from the FCIAC along with teams in the Partner Stunt competition.
The event moves to Fairfield Ludlowe after taking place at the Zeoli Field House in Wilton for the past four years.

The boys basketball teams holds the top ranking in the New Haven Register media top 10 state poll for the fourth straight week.
The Cadets (10-0) collected 16 of 18 first-place votes among a panel of the state's sports writers. The remaining two first-place votes went to No. 2 Hillhouse (11-0).
Northwest Catholic (10-1), New London (9-2) and Kolbe Cathedral (12-0) complete the top five.
Career (9-1) is sixth, followed by Hartford Public (11-0), Ridgefield (10-0), Windsor (9-1) and Wilby (10-1).
The Cadets will look to improve to 11-0 on Tuesday when they host Staples (6-4) at 7 p.m.
St. Joseph has been off since defeating Danbury 84-66 last Thursday while Staples extended its winning streak to four games with a 58-45 victory over Darien on Thursday.
On the girls side, St. Joseph (11-2, 9-2) visits Staples (8-4, 7-3) in a key FCIAC contest at 7 p.m.
St. Joseph, which has a one-half game lead over Wilton for first place in the FCIAC East, is coming off a 52-21 rout of Bassick on Friday.
Staples had a three-game winning streak snapped with a 46-43 loss to Darien on Thursday. The Wreckers are fith in the FCIAC standings, one game ahead of Darien, Norwalk and Westhill.
The Trumbull boys basketball team hosts Norwalk at 7 p.m. while the Trumbull girls visit Norwalk at 5:45 p.m.
The Trumbull boys (5-4) are coming off a 69-44 loss to Bridgeport Central and will be facing a Norwalk team (7-4) that had a three-game winning streak snapped with a surprising 67-62 overtime loss to Wilton it last game.
The Trumbull girls continue their battle with Danbury for the top seed in the FCIAC playoffs.
The Eagles (11-1, 9-1) routed Bassick 64-22 on Friday to remain one game behind the Hatters (12-0, 10-0), who are the FCIAC's lone unbeaten team.
