The girls basketball team looks to keep the pressure on Danbury in the battle for the top seed in the FCIAC playoffs when the Eagles host Wilton on Thursday (7:15 p.m.).
The Eagles (12-1, 10-1) are one game behind Danbury (13-0, 11-0) in the race for the FCIAC's best record.

Trumbull, which is coming off Tuesday's 50-37 win over Norwalk, doesn't play Danbury until Feb. 13.
Of course, the Eagles can't afford to look past an improved Wilton team, which has reeled off four straight wins, including Tuesday's 69-43 victory over McMahon.

Wilton (9-2, 9-3) is fourth in the FCIAC standings and one-half game behind first-place St. Joseph in the East Division.
The Trumbull boys (6-5), who are coming off an impressive 66-58 victory over Norwalk on Tuesday in a 7 p.m. start.
The Wilton boys have shown significant improvement after going just 2-18 last season.
The Warriors have won back-to-back overtime games, including Tuesday's 67-58 victory over McMahon, to improve to 5-6.

Matt Julian scored two goals as the St. Joseph boys hockey team rolled to a 10-0 victory over Norwalk-McMahon on Wednesday at the Darien Ice Rink.
Julian, Sean Hurley, John Ferguson and Sean Smith scored in the first period for the Cadets.
In the second period, St. Joseph tacked on five goals, extending its lead to 9-0 on tallies by Julian, Pat Durkin, Mark Laoue, Fillippo Petrini and Dan Castarina.
Tyler Lachioma completed the scoring in the third period for St. Joseph, which improved to 8-4. Norwalk-McMahon dropped to 2-8.
Wade Conlan (13) and Christian Furce (11) combined to make 24 saves for St. Joseph while Richie Henderson stopped 34 shots for Norwalk-McMahon.
Christian Keator added three assists for the Cadets.

The FCIAC Eastern Division indoor track and field championships takes place Friday at Wilton's Zeoli Field House.
Participating teams are St. Joseph, Wilton, Trinity Catholic, Darien, New Canaan, Fairfield Warde and Bassick.
The FCIAC Western Division indoor track and field championships take place on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Staples.
Participating teams are Danbury, Trumbull, Staples, Westhill, Greenwich at Bridgeport Central.
