A total of eight players from St. Joseph (6) and Trumbull (2) are on the final roster for the Fairfield County All-Stars, who will take on New Haven County in the 15th annual Hall of Fame Classic on Friday at West Haven's Ken Strong Stadium (7 p.m.)

There were some last-minute additions as the coaching staff scrambled to fill roster spots after numerous players pulled due to other commitments. The final roster was pared from 45 to 32 players.

One reason for the large Cadets' turnout, however, is that St. Joseph's Joe Della Vecchia is coaching the Fairfield County team. New Haven leads the series, 10-4.
