Christian Heritage School's varsity baseball team celebrated Senior Day on Thursday at Unity Park with a 6-5 victory over the Williams School of New London.

CHS came from behind in the last inning to prevail on a two-run walk-off double by sophomore Seth Obrecht. With the win, CHS improved to 10-2 on the season.

The seniors honored were Jacob Blaskewicz, Sam Taubl, Eric Bohling and David Park.

-- The St. Joseph baseball team can clinch the top seed for the FCIAC playoffs by winning one of its last two games ( Wednesday at Harding, Thursday at Stamford).

The Cadets also can lock up the No. 1 seed if McMahon loses one of its last two (Wednesay at New Canaan, Friday at Harding) .

The Cadets (14-2) have a two-game lead over McMahon (12-4), although they dropped the head-to-head meeting.  The Senators were no-hit by Norwalk's James Cooksey on Monday.

Meanwhile, the St. Joseph softball team (13-3) has secured a home game in the quarterfinals of the FCIAC playoffs. The Cadets are currently locked into the No. 3 seed ahead of New Canaan (11-4).

TUESDAY'S RESULTS

Girls lacrosse

Danbury 17, Trumbull 10 -- Mary Rose Rappa had three goals and an assist for the Eagles.

Boys lacrosse

Staples 10, St. Joseph 9 -- Nick Maki scored the winning goal for the Wreckers with four seconds remaining.  Mike Marini scored four goals for the Cadets.
