St. Joseph 8, McMahon 1 -- Micki Keltos tossed a three-hitter and Briana Shepard delivered thee hits for the Cadets, who face undefeated Westhill on Friday.

Staples 8, Trumbull 7 (10)-- Erica Quinones finished with three hits for the Eagles.

McMahon 5, St. Joseph 4 (9) -- The second-ranked Cadets suffered their first loss of the season in stunning fashion. McMahon erased a 4-2 deficit in the bottom of the seventh on Jamie Restivo's two-run single, then won it in the ninth on Zack O'Connor's home run. Zach Carrano hit a two-run shot in a four-run fifth, when the Cadets took a 4-2 lead. The loss leaves no unbeaten teams in the FCIAC.

Staples 11, Trumbull 5

Boys lacrosse

St. Joseph 19, Trumbull 2 -- Brian Bacarella (six goals) and Mike Marini (five) conbined for more than half of the Cadets' scoring.
