The FCIAC cross country championships, scheduled for Thursday, have been postponed until Monday at New Canaan's Waveny Park due to Wednesday's heavy rains.

The meet will begin at 2:15 p.m. and will include six races: freshman boys and girls, junior varsity boys and girls and varsity boys and girls.

Here is Monday's schedule:

2:15 p.m. - Boys Freshman (2.5km)

2:30 p.m. - Girls Freshman (2.5km)

2:50 p.m. - Boys Varsity Race (5km)

3:20 p.m. - Girls Varsity Race (4km)

3:50 p.m. - Boys Junior Varsity Race (5km)

4:20 p.m. - Girls Junior Varsity Race (4km)

Following the completion of races, an awards ceremony will take place.

WEDNESDAY'S RESULTS

Boys soccer

St. Joseph 1, Trinity Catholic 0 -- Sean Burson scored the winning goal with under a minute remaing for the Cadets (1-8-3), who recorded their first win of the season after outshooting the Crusaders, 25-8.

Trumbull 0, New Canaan 0 - Nick Weinstein had nine saves for the Eagles (9-1-3). Trumbull is in third place in the FCIAC playoff race, two points behind Darien and four in back of Norwalk. The Eagles have clinched a playoff spot.
