No. 8 Trumbull (7-3-6) at No. 1 St. Joseph (14-1-1), 2 p.m.
No. 6 Wilton (8-3-5) at No. 3 Westhill (11-1-4), 3 p.m.
No. 7 Fairfield Warde (9-5-2) at No. 2 New Canaan (12-2-2), 3 p.m.
Semifinals are Tuesday at Wilton at 5 and 7 (higher seed in late game) and the final is Thursday at 5 p.m. at Norwalk.
The Trumbull girls soccer team earned the final spot in the FCIAC playoffs Thursday by battling Westhill to a 1-1 tie.
The Eagles (7-3-6) snared the No. 8 seed and will play at top seed St. Joseph (14-1-1) in an all-Trumbull quarterfinal on Saturday.
Staples stayed alive with a 4-0 win over Stamford earlier Thursdy, forcing Trumbull to get at least one point against Westhill and the Eagles accomplished the feat by rallying from a 1-0 deficit at halftime.
Darien defeated Wilton 2-0 and Fairfield Warde blanked Trinity 3-0 Thursday to secure the other remaining playoff spots.
In the other quarterfinal games Saturday, No 2 seed New Canaan (12-2-2) hosts No. 7 Fairfield Warde (9-5-2), No. 3 Westhill (11-1-4) entertains No. 6 Wilton (8-3-5) and No. 4 Greenwich (10-2-4) is at home for No. 5 Darien (9-4-3).
Wilton and Fairfield Warde tied for sixth, but the Warriors earned the higher seed based on their regular-season win over the Mustangs.
The Trumbull football team (2-3) looks to snap a three-game losing streak on Friday when the Eagles visit Danbury in a 7 p.m. kickoff
Last week, Trumbull suffered a 38-16 loss to undefeated Staples, ending a three-week gaunlet in which it also faced Greenwich and Darien - three of the four teams undefeated in conference play along with New Canaan.
Compared to that slate, Danbury (3-3) may seem like a breather for the Eagles, but the Hatters feature arguably the FCIAC's top running back in James Harrington - a case also could be made for Fairfield Warde's Devin Lofton - who rushed for four touchdowns in last week's 41-14 victory over winless Westhill.
Through six games, Harrington has run for 680 yards and 11 touchdowns on 87 carries.
Bob Maffei, Trumbull's coach since 1998 after succeeding the late Jerry McDougall, still needs one win to reach 100 in his career.
Also on Friday, St. Joseph (1-5) visits Fairfield Warde, which is coming off a 24-13 win over Trinity Catholic.
The Cadets offered little resistance last week in a 43-14 loss at New Canaan as Rams' quarterback Matt Milano threw six TD passes - five to Patrick Newtown.
This week, St. Joseph will have to try and contain Lofton, who rushed for 214 yards against the Crusaders.
