No. 2 seed Trumbull will play in the semifinals of the FCIAC boys soccer playoffs on Tuesday against No. 3 Darien.
The Eagles advanced after defeating Wilton 2-1 in penalty kicks (8-6) on Friday and the Blue Wave reached the semifinals with a 3-2 overtime victory over Westhill.

Game time is 7 p.m. at Fairfield Ludlowe. Trumbull and Darien battled to a 1-1 tie in the final week of the regular season.
The FCIAC girls soccer playoffs are scheduled to resume with two quarterfinals on Tuesday with the higher seeds hosting the games. (One contest was played on Saturday as No. 5 seed Greenwich defeated No. 4 Darien, 1-0). The Wilton at Westhill contest has been pushed back against Wednesday.
