The Trumbull football team could get its first test of the season when the Eagles host Greenwich on Thursday in a 6 p.m. start at McDougall Stadium.
Trumbull has breezed to easy wins over Westhill (47-13) and Fairfield Ludlowe (35-8), putting away both games in the first half. Last week, the Eagles opened a 35-0 halftime lead against the Falcons.

There are 12 undefeated teams in Class LL, and the Eagles are ranked 12th because their two opponents have a combined record of 0-6.
Greenwich (2-1) will be looking to make amends following one of its worst defensive performances in years. Last week, the Cardinals stepped outside the FCIAC and suffered a 51-33 loss to New London, although Greenwich actually led 26-25 at the intermission.

Also on Thursday, St. Joseph again seeks its first win at Stamford in a 6 p.m. start.
The Cadets dropped to 0-3 following a 31-7 loss to Darien last week while Stamford slipped to 1-2 after a late-game rally against Ridgefield fell short. The Black Knights suffered a 34-28 loss to the Tigers after trailing 34-14 entering the fourth quarter.
