The Greenwich football team rebounded from last week's loss to New London in a big way.
Shane Nastahowski rushed for three touchdowns and more than 100 yards Thursday as the Cardinals posted a 36-12 road win at Trumbull.

The Cardinals, who suffered a 51-33 defeat to New London a week ago, improved to 3-0 while handing Trumbull its first loss. The Eagles dropped to 2-1 after a pair of lopsided wins over Westhill and Fairfield Ludlowe.
Thursday also marked the return of Greenwich starting quarterback Liam O'Neill, who missed the first three games of the season with a concussion suffered in a preseason scrimmage.

Greenwich jumped out to a 10-0 lead on Nastahowski's 59-yard TD run and Jesse Adelberg's 26-yard field.
Trumbull got on the board on Ryan Pearson's 30-yard field goal, then closed within 10-9 on Nick Roberts' 50-yard TD pass to Pat Lomnitzer.
However, the Cardinals build a 20-12 halftime lead and outscored the Eagles 16-0 in the second half. Nastahowski added TD runs of 5 and 6 yards.
Quarterback Brian Bodrick rushed for two touchdowns and accounted for nearly 300 yards of total offense as Stamford rolled to a 34-0 win over winless St. Joseph on Thursday night.
The Black Knight snapped a two-game losing streak to improve to 2-2 while the Cadets dropped to 0-4.
Brian Bodrick rambled in from 45 yards and Chandler Foster plowed in from a yard to give Stamford a 1 4-0 halftime lead.
The Black Knights broke it open in the third quarter on TD runs of 16 yards by Cam Webb and 4 yards by Bodrick. Jaman Thompson capped the scoring in the fourth quarter with a 3-yard TD run.
Stamford was coming off a 34-28 loss to Ridgefield in which it nearly rallied from a 34-14 deficit in the fourth quarter.
