Brendan Strobel and Tim Riley scored Saturday as the boys hockey team held off Westhill 2-1 in the finals of the FCIAC tier two playoffs at the Terry Conners Rink.

After a scoreless first period, Strobel opened the scoring in the first period before Riley added what turned out to be the winning goal in the third quarter.

Evan Shaulson got Westhill on the board with 1:58 left, setting in motion a wild final two minutes.

The Vikings thought they had tied the game on a goal by Lukas Znosko with 20 seconds left, but it was waived off because the officials ruled the net was moved before the puck entered the net.
