Trumbull Superintendent Requests $3.8 Million Budget Increase

Most of the request is for increased salaries.

TRUMBULL, CT — Superintendent Gary Cialfi has requested a $3.8 million school budget increase for next year. Of that $3.4 million is for an increase in salaries.

Enrollment is expected to drop 94 students down to 6,680, according to the Trumbull Times.

Cialfi's request would be a five percent increase.

The school has made headway in reducing energy costs. Last year's total cost was $1.6 million compared to the $2.4 million average from 2012 to 2015.
