Trumbull Treasurer Should Give Back More Money: GOP
Republican Town Committee Chairman Jack Testani criticized Musto not attending all Board of Finance and pension board meetings.
TRUMBULL, CT — Town Treasurer Anthony Musto gave his $2,100 salary increase to Trumbull Social Services in an effort to stick to a campaign promise of not taking a raise, but the move wasn't met with universal acclaim.
Republican Town Committee Chairman Jack Testani criticized Musto for not attending four out of nine pension board meetings and eight of 15 Board of Finance meetings in 2016, according to the Trumbull Times.
Musto fired back and said he isn't a member of the Board of Finance and shows up as a courtesy. Democratic Town Chairman Tom Kelly said four out of 15 Republican council members didn't show up to the last meeting.
