Trumbull's Herbst Files Complaint Regarding Malloy 2014 Election
The complaint is related to legal representation that was volunteered to the state party during a regulatory hearing.

TRUMBULL, CT—First Selectman Tim Herbst has filed a complaint with the State Election Enforcement Commission related to the 2014 gubernatorial election.
Herbst alleges in the complaint that rules were violated when the state Democratic Party accepted free legal representation from David Golub, according to the CT Mirror. The complaint is partially based off a Mirror report that found the state Democratic Party didn't file campaign finance reports for paying Golub.
The state party settled with state election regulators over claims of illegal fundraising. Golub represented the party during hearings.
