Trumbull's Herbst Meets State Treasurer Nappier in Debate

Trumbull First Selectman Tim Herbst and incumbent State Treasurer Denise Nappier finally met in an 11th hour debate before the election.

The two went after each other during the 20-minute debate, according to the Connecticut Post.

Nappier claimed that Herbst was telling lies and that he blamed her for things she has nothing to do with.

Herbst said if things continue the way they do the state’s pension fund could go bankrupt by 2019.
