• State Police Dog Viper Tracks Down Fleeing Suspect in Union Swamp (patch.com) — State police say a high-speed chase from Massachusetts ended in Union, where a damaged BMW was found near the I-84 weigh station and one injured suspect was located. A second suspect who fled into a nearby swamp by Exit 73 was tracked and apprehended by K-9 Viper, with both people taken to Hartford Hospital as charges are prepared. 
• 1 person detained, several fled the scene after I-84 Union crash (wtnh.com) — A serious two-car crash at the I-84 weigh station in Union Monday night left several people injured and in “critically stable” condition, according to state police. Troopers say multiple occupants ran from the scene and one person was detained, with the investigation still active and few details released so far.
