11th Annual Scarecrow Contest To Be Staged In Vernon

Registration for the 11th Annual Strong Family Farm Scarecrow Contest opens September 1! There is no entry fee for individuals or groups who want to sign up to participate. Details and entry forms can be found on their website. Entry categories include Family, Adult Groups, Youth Groups, Businesses, and Traditional.

Set-up for the Scarecrow Contest begins Saturday, September 24 and continues through Sunday, October 2. Groups or individuals who have signed up can come to the farm during daylight hours and set up their scarecrow on their designated fence post. Scarecrows must be set up by sundown Sunday, October 2 to be included in the judging. Winners in each category will be announced at the Harvest Festival on the farm, Saturday, October 22 10:00am–4:00pm. The scarecrows will remain on display at the farm through the end of October.
