2 Found Dead In Vernon Home; Police Investigating

VERNON, CT — Police are investigating the deaths of a man and woman in Vernon, according to law enforcement.

The deaths were reported to authorities as untimely, and officers responded about 5:45 p.m. Friday to a house on Vinetta Drive, where they found the bodies of a 61-year-old man and 60-year-old woman, police said, adding there is no threat to the public.

Detectives and personnel with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner were requested at the scene to assist with processing, according to police, who said the investigation remains open and the cause of the deaths is pending. Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at 860-872-9126.
