
VERNON, CT — A second man involved in a 2015 robbery at a Rockville watering hole and its aftermath in has received six years of prison time, court records indicate.
Rafael Baez., 24, was sentenced on Friday to 10 years, suspended after five, for being an accessory to second-degree robbery and a year for third-degree burglary, court records indicate.
The main culprit during the incident, 42-year-old Gene Kelly, received 10 years for first-degree robbery and five years for second-degree assault back in August, according to court records.

The robbery took place on Nov. 18, 2015, according to police records.
Police say Kelly entered the Olde Rockville Tavern on West Main Street armed with a kitchen knife around 10:45 p.m. that night, and ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A bar patron chased Kelly and a fight ensued, during which Kelly stabbed the man, police records indicate. Another bar patron witnessed the stabbing and drove his car onto the sidewalk, hitting Kelly twice with the vehicle, police said.
Kelly was later found by hiding inside his home, police said.
Baez became entangled in the fight and hit someone with a hammer, according to police and court records.
