Every summer, July 11 is the day the convenience store chain gives away free Slurpees.
Today from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., about 8,200 participating 7-Eleven stores in will be giving away free 7.11-ounce Slurpee drinks.
The local events app timeRAZOR has even jumped into the mix by providing its users with 7-Eleven store locations across the U.S. that will be offering free Slurpees.
Vernon has 7-Elevens at the corner of Union and West streets and at thecorner of Hartford Turnpike and Vernon Avenue.
