Ag-Ed Students Sponsoring 'Fill-a-Tractor' Food Drive at RHS

The tractor is being placed outside the high school.

Agricultural education students at Rockville High School and the local FFA chapter are filling a tractor to help out the local food pantry. 

The tractor is being placed outside the high school from 7 to 8 a.m. today - Thursday - and from 7 to 8 a.m. and from 2 to 6 p.m. on Friday. 

Residents are invited to drop off non-perishable food items. All food collected will be donated to the Hockanum Valley Community Council's food pantry. 

The Rockville Chapter of the Future Farmers of America are sponsoring the event. 
HVCC officials have provided a shopping list of the most-needed items: 

• Canned fruit. 
• Pasta.
• Pasta sauce.
• Jelly or jam.
• Peanut butter.
• Boxes of macaroni and cheese.
• Cereal.
• Canned hash, chili, Spam, etc. 
• Canned tomatoes.
• Tuna.
• Baked beans.
• Juice. 
• Crackers.
