Patricia “Pat” (McCormack) Regan

Patricia “Pat” (McCormack) Regan, 71, of Vernon, beloved wife of 47 years to Joseph Regan, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 19, 2011 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, daughter of the late George and Bertha (Butterworth) McCormack, she lived in Lawrence and Middletown before moving to Vernon over 45 years ago. Pat was employed by the Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford for 18 years and served as a pension analyst before her retirement in 1993. She was a communicant of St. Bernard’s Church in Rockville. Pat was a member of the Travelers Retirees’ Club, an avid UCONN men’s and women’s basketball fan and she enjoyed traveling with her husband and close friends, especially trips to Ogunquit, Maine. She enjoyed playing cards with her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Pat looked forward to shopping trips with her daughter and granddaughter.

In addition to her husband, Pat is survived by her children, Joe Regan and his wife Karen of Tolland, and Heather Regan of Tolland; four grandchildren, Katie, Ryan, Patrick and Jack; a brother, Jack McCormack and his wife Ann of Middletown; two special longtime friends, Joyce Vallez and Dee Middlebrook, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Bernie McCormack, and a sister, Kay Rosano. Pat’s family would like to thank all the staff at the DaVita Dialysis Center in Vernon for the wonderful care that they gave to her.

 A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 12 noon at St. Bernard Church, 25 St. Bernard Terrace, Rockville. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family. Her family will receive friends for memorial calling hours on Thursday, June 23, 2011 from 4-7 pm at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon.
