Another Baseball Season Set to Begin at Rockville High School
The rams are in action on April 3.

Another high school baseball season is set to begin on April 3 with Rockville traveling to Bristol Eastern.
Coach Art Wheelock, coming off an offseason in which he received national recognition, brings a record of 427-311 into his 35th season. The Rams were 8-13 a year ago and lost five starters and six letter winners. Greg Caron will again be the assistant coach.
Seniors Kurt Annelli and Rob Gardiner have been named captains.
Annelli pitches, plays first base and roams the outfield. His bat will be a key to the Rockville offense. His 10 runs batted in led the rams last season. He is also the ace of the pitching staff.
Gardiner hit .300 last season. He will play shortstop and will pitch.
Junior Carlos Adamson brings to the varsity solid offensive skills that produced a JV season last year in which he hit .432 with 17 RBI and seven steals as an outfielder. He also win five games on the mound.
Junior Matt Goff hit .400 last season and will hit in the middle of the order. He will also contribute as a situational pitcher, the coaching staff said.
Junior Jon Frank is also back in the middle of the batting order as the designated hitter. Last year, he hit .373 with 10 RBI. He will not play the field to start the season after coming off surgery.
Juniors Preston Burgess and Brian Ducas will see time on the mound and in the outfield.
