VERNON, CT — A Vernon couple was arrested after a Sunday brunch argument over eggs turned into a faceoff with utensils, an arrest report indicates.

The incident took place at 12:34 p.m. Sunday at a home on School Street, according to a report. While investigating a domestic incident, police learned that a couple began arguing over a carton of eggs, according to a report.

The man and woman then, "armed themselves" with "utensils" and dared each other to to make another move, according to a report.

Both the man and woman were charged with second-degree breach of peace and were to appear in court Monday, according to a report.
