VERNON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Emmanuel College, Boston MA

• In honor of their outstanding academic achievement, Emmanuel College has named more than 700 students, including three from Vernon, to the Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester. Students from Vernon awarded were Laura Costello, Emma Johnson and Hannah Sullivan.

Lasell College, Newton MA

• Sarah Kline of Vernon, a Legal Studies major at Lasell College, was named to the spring 2019 Dean's List. Kline achieved a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher with at least 12 completed credits to merit this accomplishment.

University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI

• The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce the spring 2019 Dean's List, which includes Jill Asmar and Alyssa D'Alessandro, both of Vernon. To be included on the Dean's List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average.
