Artists Being Called For RGH "Faces" Exhibit

The show is being offered by the Vernon Community Arts Center.

The Vernon Community Arts Center has issued a call to artists for an upcoming show at the Gallery.

The show is entitled "Faces" and the subject matter can be a face of an object animal or person. 

The show os open to any artist working in any two-dimensional media, including collage, painting, photography, drawing, and other. Artists may submit up to three pieces each.

All work must be framed and wired to hang. No saw tooth hangars are allowed. 

Organizers said they reserve the right to reject work if it does not meet the criteria or contains unsuitable content. If artwork is larger than 4 feet in either direction artists need to call ahead.

The show carries a $5 entry fee per person. The show is scheduled to run from Monday, July 16 through Friday, Aug. 24. An artist reception is slated for Wednesday, July 18 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Awards announced at 6:30 p.m.

The drop-off area is in the board room next to gift shop at Rockville General Hospital, 31 Union St.

Drop-offs will be accepted on Saturday, July 14, from noon to 2 p.m.

Artist pick-ups are scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 25, from noon to 2 p.m.
