Back to School in Vernon — A Few Dates to Note
The first day of school is right around the corner.
VERNON, CT — Here are some important dates to mark down from the 2016-17 Vernon School system calendar.
- Aug. 25: CIAC first official day of fall sports practice.
- Aug. 31: First Day of school.
- Nov. 8: Professional development (no school).
- No. 23 (half day), Nov. 24-25: Thanksgiving break.
- Dec. 26-Jan. 2: Holiday break.
- Feb. 20: Presidents Day.
- Feb. 21: Professional development.
- April 10-14: Spring break.
- June 9: Last day of school (tentative).
