Business Shuffling Takes Place Along Route 83 in Vernon

VERNON, CT — A few pieces in the commercial jigsaw puzzle around the Route 83 curve in Vernon have fallen into place.

That section of Route 83 is known locally as Talcottville Road.

An Enterprise rental car outlet, formerly housed at Olender's body shop, has moved a half-mile down the road to 560 Talcottville Road. It made the transition recently and was fully opereational this week.

The opportunity was created when Scranton Motors moved its powersports division up the road to a sprawling new facility at 713 Talcottville Road. It sits next to Scranton's main Buick/Cadillac/GMC dealership.

Before Scranton, Santander had a bank branch at the location.
